A Love Story

For years in the desert

hauling my own corpse

mummified


 

A drop of tear

a stain of blood

were long gone

to prove my existence

 

I left the whole spirit

there

behind me

 

The light of the moon

and the stars

gently infused

through the skin


 

becoming part of me

ever in the cradle
