it must’ve been so arduous

you told me


in the moment

you saw my body 

as I was disrobing


the mass

I’d developed

on my shoulders

from those years


like a farmer

bathed in perspiration

I’d carried my love

out of devotion




Didn’t I close that door

thus I never

let you be here

in this room.


ghosts and phamtoms

you’d sent at my door

uninvited for so long

my soul


reminded me

of the origin of

and the trust

I held for you


the light

seeping through

a narrow gap

and cracks of the gate



my being


that was love

re-embarked on

my journey for


and reconciliation


yearning to
