a child

dwelling in me

her favorite thing

every summer

was floating

alone

in the ocean

drifting afar

from what’s happening

in her life

trembling knees

frightened heart

all washed away

in the arms of

the warm water

voices of people

sounded away

… it felt

a different world

breathing…

inhaling and exhaling

the constant breath

synchronized with

heartbeats

echoed through

her own chamber

the sun above her

glared so bright

made the world

in orange crimson red

loneliness

she felt

yet enveloped

in the warmth of

love and light

i returned

Home
