becoming
was
returning to
and embracing
the places
i never
wanted to
go back
my childhood
torn into
the dual lives
of rosy sunshine
and the darkest
feels of ghosts
my late husband
Patrick and my
shattered home
built brick by brick
grounded deep
to our beautiful life
Surrender
to what had happened
and
what hadn’t happened
in the rubble of
all my wishes

Miracle
knownness
of my self
sat at the center
quietly
i am not proud
nor afraid
just to be
filled with
love
