We used to share the ocean
sucking the same juice
the vigor of the sea
It filled our heart and lungs
with the essence of being
of the “knowing
One umbilical cord
shared in the blue
that nourished
and brushed
our souls
With the very first breath
the nectar in the chest
our shared mother
and the smell of
the marine
We’ve just
Forgotten
who we are
